My Story

My relationship with business isn’t just professional; it’s a love affair. From the outset, my ambition has been to carve my path as a multifaceted entrepreneur. This, I knew, demanded more than just a dream. It required relentless learning. I immersed myself in entrepreneurial ecosystems, volunteering in various activities and prioritizing a diverse skill set.

My entrepreneurial spark ignited in my second year of college. Fueled by workshops and a thirst for knowledge, I began laying the groundwork for my ambitions. By my fourth year, I’d established an entrepreneurship cell, conducting workshops and personality development training to ignite that same spark in fellow students. 

However, post-graduation, reality hit. I recognized the gaps in my knowledge—the intricacies of money flow, the dynamics of trade, and the sheer scale of business operations. This led me to pursue an MBA, with the prestigious IIMs as my target.

Seven months of intense preparation followed. Yet, despite my efforts, the CAT exam remained unconquered in my first attempt. Financial constraints prevented an immediate second attempt, and so, I pivoted. I stepped into the world of sales, joining BYJU’S—The Learning App as a Business Development Associate. There, I navigated the diverse landscape of direct sales, virtual sales, and cold calling, consistently exceeding weekly targets and honing my sales acumen. 

During the second wave of COVID-19, I seized an opportunity to delve into the realm of marketing, earning certifications through Google Unlocked. While valuable, I knew this was just the beginning.

My next chapter at Chrysalis, a curriculum provider for schools, marked my entry into the world of B2B. The initial six months were a steep learning curve, but with dedicated effort, I rapidly absorbed the nuances of the industry. By my seventh month, I was managing a larger territory in Tamil Nadu than any of my colleagues, generating significant revenue for the company. In my second year, I surpassed my targets even before the peak season arrived. 

Life took a personal turn in September 2023 with my marriage, coinciding with an offer from Macmillan Education, a 130-year-old organization with a strong presence in India’s school market. Managing 110 clients and acquiring over 30 new clients, I continued to drive growth.  

Yet, the pull towards marketing remained strong. The desire to master its intricacies led me to a pivotal decision: I resigned to immerse myself in agency-style digital marketing.

My journey is a testament to my unwavering entrepreneurial spirit, my commitment to continuous learning, and my drive to excel in every endeavor.
